Overview: The Inside Out Mentoring Program Coach reports to the Program Director. The Coach works to build a positive rapport with their assigned students. Each Coach will have be assigned two to three students. The Coach offers tutoring services in Math or English, depending on preference. The Coach is committed to attending all after school sessions to support their assigned students. The Coach is also committed to attending some fundraising events to support the mission and vision of the program. Applicants will be subject to complete background applications and must hold a valid drivers license.

Responsibilities and Duties:

Implements the mission and vision at the program site

Builds a positive and professional rapport with assigned students

Commit to a minimum of one semester (Summer, Fall or Spring)

Commit to weekly meetings/sessions once and or twice a week during a semester

Builds a positive and professional rapport with Program Director, parents, and community members

Attends professional development for all Coaches, including the first training session/orientation in June

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or Associate's Degree from an accredited college with major coursework in Education or related field (preferred)

One (1) year experience in working with children (preferred)

Ability to deal with a diverse population of middle and high school students and cultivate positive relationships

Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with parents and community members
